ExactMetrics is a WordPress plugin that adds Google Analytics tracking and shows analytics reports in the WordPress dashboard. Site owners use it to view traffic data without opening Google Analytics. If you only need part of it, you can get a focused plugin built for your own site and pay once.
ExactMetrics: $99.50 a year for one site (Plus).
Your own plugin on Pluginora: from $9 once, with 5 free changes. Try it first for $1.
What ExactMetrics does
- Google Analytics tracking setup
- Dashboard reports
- Realtime stats
- Event and scroll tracking
- eCommerce tracking on higher plans
- Email summaries
Free version: Yes, ExactMetrics Lite on WordPress.org.
What you can build instead
A Pluginora plugin does one job for your site. For ExactMetrics, that could be:
- Add the Google Analytics tag
- Show a simple traffic widget
- Track one button click as an event
A small custom plugin would not replace a full analytics dashboard suite with many reports.
Related plugins you can build:
Cost over 3 years
| ExactMetrics | Your own plugin | |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | $99.50 | From $9 |
| Year 2 | $199 | $0 |
| Year 3 | $199 | $0 |
| 3-year total | $497.50 | From $9 |
When ExactMetrics is the better choice
- You want many prebuilt reports in WordPress
- You need eCommerce and advanced tracking
- You want support and updates from the vendor
When your own plugin makes more sense
- You use one or two of its features, not the whole package.
- You would rather pay once than renew every year.
- You want it to work exactly the way your site needs, and to change it on request.
How to get your own
- Describe it. For example: “Track clicks on my 'Book a call' button as a Google Analytics event.”
- See the plan and price. Ora replies with what it will build and a fixed price. Nothing is built until you approve.
- Try it for $1. Test it on a practice site for 7 days, then keep it and pay the rest once.
