Pluginora Connect links your WordPress site to your Pluginora account so plugins you build can be installed in one click and Ora can look at problems for you. If something goes wrong, start here.
How to connect
- Log in to your Pluginora account in your browser.
- On your site, install and activate the Pluginora Connect plugin (upload the ZIP under Plugins → Add New).
- Open Settings → Pluginora Connect and press Connect to Pluginora.
- Press Approve on pluginora.com. You come back to your site and it shows Connected.
The connection fails or does not finish
- Your site must use https:// and be reachable from the internet. Local and private sites cannot be connected.
- You must be logged in to Pluginora in the same browser when you press Connect.
- Approval links last 10 minutes. If you see “not valid or has expired”, go back to your site and press Connect again.
- “Too many attempts” means wait a few minutes before trying again.
- Security plugins and firewalls (for example Wordfence, Cloudflare rules or a host firewall) can block the connection. Allow requests to
/wp-json/pluginora-connect/on your site, or temporarily pause the rule, then try again. - “Your site gave an unexpected reply” usually means the Connector plugin is switched off or a firewall is answering instead of your site. Check the plugin is active.
- Sites with plain permalinks and sites with a custom login address work too. If you still cannot connect, send us your site address and what you see.
- You can connect up to 10 sites to one account. Disconnect one to add another.
“Switch this on under Settings → Pluginora Connect”
Ora can only look at your site until you allow more. On your site open Settings → Pluginora Connect and tick the groups you want (installing plugins, editing posts and pages, safe settings and cache clearing, or editing files of plugins made on Pluginora). Every change still needs your approval, and every change can be undone.
A change did not work, or you want it undone
Before each change the Connector saves a snapshot and checks your site afterwards. If the check fails it puts things back by itself. To undo a change you approved, use the Undo button in the activity list in Pluginora, or on your site under Settings → Pluginora Connect. Undo is kept for the number of days set on that page (30 by default).
My site went down
The Connector installs a small safety net that puts the change back if it crashes your site soon after. If your site is still down, rename the plugin’s folder in wp-content/plugins using your host’s file manager or FTP, then email us.
How to disconnect
- On your site: Settings → Pluginora Connect → Disconnect.
- Or in Pluginora: open Connected sites and remove the site.
- Either one ends our access straight away. To remove everything the Connector stored, delete the plugin from your site.
Still stuck?
Email hello@pluginora.com with your site address, what you pressed and what you saw (a screenshot helps). We usually reply within one or two working days.
