What your WooCommerce to ActiveCampaign plugin does

A focused plugin that creates or updates an ActiveCampaign contact when a WooCommerce order is placed. You choose the tags and the order event.

Create or update
Contacts are matched on email, so a repeat buyer updates the existing contact.
Tags by event
Add a tag such as Customer on a new order and another when it is completed.
Your own key
You enter your account URL and API key on the settings page.
One settings page
Its own item in your WordPress admin menu, so options are easy to find and change.
Good to know: ActiveCampaign limits API calls to 5 requests per second per account, which is plenty for most shops. Automations, lists and deals in ActiveCampaign are separate builds.

Tell Ora what you need. Check the plan before you pay.

Describe your Connect WooCommerce to ActiveCampaign Plugin in your own words. Ora replies with a plan and a price. Nothing is built until you approve it.

Example request
I sell yoga mats on WooCommerce. When an order is placed, add the buyer to ActiveCampaign with first name, last name, email and phone, and tag them Customer. When it is completed, also add the tag Delivered.

Ora
Here is the plan:
  • ActiveCampaign connection with account URL, API key and a test button
  • Create or update the contact by email on each new order
  • Billing name and phone mapped to contact fields
  • Tag Customer on new orders and Delivered on completed orders
  • A settings page in its own menu in your WordPress admin
Standard build · $19 once
In this build: Deals, lists and removing tags are not in this plan. Custom contact fields need their field IDs from your ActiveCampaign account.
Want more? Add it to your request:
  • Marketing consent only. Only send buyers who ticked the newsletter box at checkout.
  • Order total field. Save the order total in an ActiveCampaign custom field.
Add these to my request and get a quote
Ora builds it together with the plugin and the quote goes up to match. You see the new price before you pay. One plugin never costs more than $39. If it needs more than one plugin, Ora quotes each one. Or add it later as a separate build.

How to set up WooCommerce to ActiveCampaign

Here is the whole setup for connecting WooCommerce to ActiveCampaign, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in ActiveCampaign and in WooCommerce.

1. Copy your API URL and key
In ActiveCampaign open Settings, Developer. Copy the API URL (it looks like youraccount.api-us1.com) and the API key. The URL is unique to your account, so use the exact one shown there.
2. Find your WooCommerce fields
Decide which order status sends the data: Processing (payment received) or Completed (order fulfilled). Ora maps billing first name, last name, email, phone and company from the order.
3. Use list, tag and field IDs
Contacts are matched by email. Lists and custom fields are referred to by number, not name. Open the list or field and read the ID from the page address, then tell Ora which list each contact joins and which tag to add.
4. Describe it to Ora
Paste your own version of the example request on this page, or start from one of the examples, and say which field goes where. Ora replies with a plan and a price, and nothing is built until you approve it.
5. Test on the practice site
Place a test order on the practice site using Cash on Delivery or a 100 percent coupon, move it to your chosen status, then check ActiveCampaign. Open Contacts in ActiveCampaign and search for the test email. Check the list and tags on the contact, and any automation that starts on that list or tag.

Questions

Is there a free WooCommerce to ActiveCampaign plugin?

Free ones may exist. Build your own when you want exact behavior and nothing extra.

Will repeat buyers create duplicate contacts?

No. The plugin uses the contact sync call, which matches on email and updates the existing contact instead of failing on a duplicate.

Do I need WooCommerce and a ActiveCampaign account?

Yes. This plugin is built to run on your WooCommerce store and send to your ActiveCampaign account, using its API key. You don't need to buy Zapier.

Can I get a refund?

The trial fee is refunded automatically if a build fails. A purchased plugin can be refunded within 14 days if it doesn't do what the approved plan said and Ora can't fix it, as long as it hasn't been downloaded or installed.
