What your WooCommerce to Asana plugin does

A focused plugin that adds one task to an Asana project when a WooCommerce order matches your rule. You decide the task name and the notes.

Order to task
A matching order creates one task in the Asana project you choose.
Task name and notes
Build the name from the order number and product, and fill the notes with order details.
Only the orders you pick
Limit tasks to certain products or categories, such as made-to-order items.
One settings page
Its own item in your WordPress admin menu, so options are easy to find and change.
Good to know: It creates tasks from new orders, one direction only. Completing a task in Asana does not change the order in WooCommerce. You create a personal access token in Asana and paste it on the settings page.

Tell Ora what you need. Check the plan before you pay.

Describe your Connect WooCommerce to Asana Plugin in your own words. Ora replies with a plan and a price. Nothing is built until you approve it.

Example request
We make custom wedding signs and each one needs design work. When a WooCommerce order contains a product in the 'Custom signs' category, add a task to our Asana project 'Studio queue' with the order number, wording and shipping date in the notes.
O
Ora
Here is the plan:
  • New order event on your WooCommerce store linked to your Asana account
  • Task only when an item is in the 'Custom signs' category
  • Task named after the order number, with wording and shipping date in the notes
  • A settings page in its own menu in your WordPress admin
Standard build · $19 once
In this build: Closing the task when the order completes, subtasks and task comments are not in this plan. Neither is syncing Asana changes back to WooCommerce.
Want more? Add it to your request:
  • Assign by product. Assign the task to a different person depending on the product category.
  • Task when completed. Create a second task to request a review when the order status changes to completed.
Add these to my request and get a quote
Ora builds it together with the plugin and the quote goes up to match. You see the new price before you pay. One plugin never costs more than $39. If it needs more than one plugin, Ora quotes each one. Or add it later as a separate build.

How to set up WooCommerce to Asana

Here is the whole setup for connecting WooCommerce to Asana, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in Asana and in WooCommerce.

1. Create a personal access token
In Asana open My settings, Apps, Developer apps and create a personal access token. Use an account that can see the project, since tasks are created as that person.
2. Find your WooCommerce fields
Decide which order status sends the data: Processing (payment received) or Completed (order fulfilled). Ora maps billing first name, last name, email, phone and company from the order.
3. Find the project and section
Asana refers to projects, sections and people by long numeric IDs (GIDs) that appear in the page address. Tell Ora which project and section new tasks go in, and who they are assigned to.
4. Describe it to Ora
Paste your own version of the example request on this page, or start from one of the examples, and say which field goes where. Ora replies with a plan and a price, and nothing is built until you approve it.
5. Test on the practice site
Place a test order on the practice site using Cash on Delivery or a 100 percent coupon, move it to your chosen status, then check Asana. Open the project in Asana and look for a new task with the test name and notes. Check the assignee and due date.

No yearly fee for your Connect WooCommerce to Asana Plugin

Questions

Is there a free WooCommerce to Asana plugin?

Free ones may exist. Build your own when you want exact behavior and nothing extra.

What do I need from Asana to connect?

A personal access token from your Asana developer console, and the project you want tasks to land in. The token acts as you, so treat it like a password.

Do I need WooCommerce and a Asana account?

Yes. This plugin is built to run on your WooCommerce store and send data to your own Asana account. You don't need to buy Zapier.

Can I get a refund?

The trial fee is refunded automatically if a build fails. A purchased plugin can be refunded within 14 days if it doesn't do what the approved plan said and Ora can't fix it, as long as it hasn't been downloaded or installed.
