What your WooCommerce to Kit (ConvertKit) plugin does

A focused plugin that creates or updates a Kit subscriber from a WooCommerce order and adds a tag you choose. The tag can depend on the product bought.

Order to subscriber
A WooCommerce order creates a Kit subscriber, or updates the one with the same email.
Tag by product
Apply a Kit tag such as Bought course when a chosen product is ordered.
First name and fields
Send the buyer's first name to Kit along with the email.
One settings page
Its own item in your WordPress admin menu, so options are easy to find and change.
Good to know: It uses a Kit API key from your account, so it creates subscribers and tags them. Kit's purchase records need OAuth and are a separate build.

Tell Ora what you need. Check the plan before you pay.

Describe your Connect WooCommerce to Kit (ConvertKit) Plugin in your own words. Ora replies with a plan and a price. Nothing is built until you approve it.

Example request
I sell two online workshops on WooCommerce. When someone buys the Pottery workshop, add them to Kit with the tag Pottery buyer, and use Sketching buyer for the other one.

Ora
Here is the plan:
  • Paid WooCommerce orders sent to your Kit account
  • Subscriber created or updated by email with first name
  • Tag Pottery buyer or Sketching buyer applied by product
  • A settings page in its own menu in your WordPress admin
Standard build · $19 once
In this build: Kit purchase records, sequences and forms are not in this plan. Neither is syncing back from Kit.
Want more? Add it to your request:
  • Refund tag. Add a Refunded tag in Kit when an order is refunded.
  • Only with consent. Only send the buyer to Kit when they tick the email consent box.
Add these to my request and get a quote
Ora builds it together with the plugin and the quote goes up to match. You see the new price before you pay. One plugin never costs more than $39. If it needs more than one plugin, Ora quotes each one. Or add it later as a separate build.

How to set up WooCommerce to Kit (ConvertKit)

Here is the whole setup for connecting WooCommerce to Kit, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in Kit and in WooCommerce.

1. Create an API key
In Kit (formerly ConvertKit) open Settings, Developer and create an API key. Then note the numeric ID of the form, sequence or tag that new subscribers should join.
2. Find your WooCommerce fields
Decide which order status sends the data: Processing (payment received) or Completed (order fulfilled). Ora maps billing first name, last name, email, phone and company from the order.
3. Choose form, sequence or tag
A subscriber is added with an email and first name, plus custom fields you have already created. Tell Ora whether each person should go into a form, a sequence, a tag or all three.
4. Describe it to Ora
Paste your own version of the example request on this page, or start from one of the examples, and say which field goes where. Ora replies with a plan and a price, and nothing is built until you approve it.
5. Test on the practice site
Place a test order on the practice site using Cash on Delivery or a 100 percent coupon, move it to your chosen status, then check Kit. Open Subscribers in Kit and search for the test email. Check the tags and the sequence, and whether the status is confirmed or unconfirmed.

Questions

Is there a free WooCommerce to Kit (ConvertKit) plugin?

Free ones may exist. Build your own when you want exact behavior and nothing extra.

Does it send the order itself to Kit?

No. It creates or updates the subscriber and applies tags. Kit purchase records need OAuth, so they are not part of this plan.

Do I need WooCommerce and a Kit (ConvertKit) account?

Yes. This plugin runs on your WooCommerce store and sends data to your Kit (ConvertKit) account. You don't need to buy a Zapier plan.

Can I get a refund?

The trial fee is refunded automatically if a build fails. A purchased plugin can be refunded within 14 days if it doesn't do what the approved plan said and Ora can't fix it, as long as it hasn't been downloaded or installed.
