How to set up Canada Post Shipping Rates
Here is how to get a Canada Post Shipping Rates from idea to working plugin on your site. Most of the work is a few decisions, and these steps walk through them.
1. Get your access
You need your Canada Post developer account keys and your customer number.
2. Set the services
Which services to offer, the package sizes and the origin postal code.
3. Describe it to Ora
Paste your own version of the example request on this page, or start from one of the examples, and change the details. Ora replies with a plan and a price, and nothing is built until you approve it.
4. Test on the practice site
Add products with weights and dimensions on the practice site and check the rates for a few postal codes.
Common snags:
Products with no weight cannot be priced.
Add a flat rate fallback.
