What your Gift Cards plugin does

A focused gift card plugin. You sell a gift card as a product, and the recipient gets an email with a code.

Gift card product
Fixed amounts or a variable amount the buyer picks.
Recipient email
The buyer adds a name and message, and the code is emailed on a date they choose.
Redeem at checkout
Customers enter the code and the balance is deducted from the total.
One settings page
Its own item in your WordPress admin menu, so options are easy to find and change.
Good to know: This covers digital gift cards used in your store. Physical printed cards and selling cards on other websites are not in this plan.

Tell Ora what you need. Check the plan before you pay.

Describe your WooCommerce Gift Cards Plugin in your own words. Ora replies with a plan and a price. Nothing is built until you approve it.

Example request
Sell gift cards of $25, $50 and $100, or any amount up to $300. Let the buyer add a message and a send date. Cards expire after 2 years. I also want to export all codes to CSV.

Here is the plan:
  • Gift card amounts of $25, $50 and $100, or custom up to $300
  • Recipient name, message and send date
  • Expiry after 2 years and CSV export of codes
  • A settings page in its own menu in your WordPress admin
Standard build · $19 once
In this build: Physical cards and point of sale redemption are not in this plan.
Want more? Add it to your request:
  • Resend email. Add a button to resend the gift card email.
  • Design choice. Let the buyer pick from two card designs.
Add these to my request and get a quote
Ora builds it together with the plugin and the quote goes up to match. You see the new price before you pay. One plugin never costs more than $39. If it needs more than one plugin, Ora quotes each one. Or add it later as a separate build.

How to set up Gift Cards

Here is how to get a Gift Cards from idea to working plugin on your site. Most of the work is a few decisions, and these steps walk through them.

1. Choose the cards
Fixed amounts or a typed amount, and the design, and whether it is digital or physical.
2. Set the delivery
Send by email on a chosen date with a message, and how it is redeemed.
3. Describe it to Ora
Paste your own version of the example request on this page, or start from one of the examples, and change the details. Ora replies with a plan and a price, and nothing is built until you approve it.
4. Test on the practice site
Buy a test card on the practice site, redeem it at checkout and check the balance.
Common snags:

No yearly fee for your WooCommerce Gift Cards Plugin

Looking for an alternative to the paid Gift Cards extension from WooCommerce? It lists at $79 a year. Your own version is a one-off.

the paid Gift Cards extension from WooCommerce
$79 / year
After 1 year$79
After 3 years$237
Your own WooCommerce Gift Cards Plugin on Pluginora
$19–$39 once
After 1 yearthe same
After 3 yearsthe same

Paid plugin price is the list price for one site, as shown on the seller's site in October 2026. The price of your build depends on its size. Ora quotes it before you pay. The paid product may do more than the plugin described above.

Questions

Is there a free WooCommerce gift cards plugin?

Free ones may exist. Build your own when you want exact behavior and nothing extra.

Can the buyer schedule delivery?

Yes. The buyer picks a send date and the email goes out on that day with the code and message.

Do I need WooCommerce?

Yes. This plugin is built for WooCommerce stores and works with your products, cart and checkout. You don't need to buy the paid Gift Cards extension from WooCommerce.

Can I get a refund?

The trial fee is refunded automatically if a build fails. A purchased plugin can be refunded within 14 days if it doesn't do what the approved plan said and Ora can't fix it, as long as it hasn't been downloaded or installed.
