How to set up Fluent Forms to Insightly

Here is the whole setup for connecting Fluent Forms to Insightly, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in Insightly and in Fluent Forms.

1. Copy your API key and pod
In Insightly open User settings and copy your API key. Note which pod your account is on (for example na1), because the API address includes it.
2. Find your Fluent Forms fields
In Fluent Forms open a field, go to Advanced Options and note its Name Attribute. The same value appears in smart codes like {inputs.email}.
3. Match fields by name
Insightly uses upper case field names, such as FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME and EMAIL_ADDRESS, and custom fields end in __c. Choose whether each enquiry becomes a lead or a contact.
4. Describe it to Ora

5. Test on the practice site
Submit the form and look for the entry under Fluent Forms, Entries. Open Leads or Contacts in Insightly and search for the test email. Check the custom fields and the owner.

Where do I find the Insightly API details?

They are in your Insightly account settings. You paste the API URL and key into the plugin settings page, and Ora's plan tells you where to look.

Do I need Fluent Forms and a Insightly account?

Yes. This plugin is built to read submissions from Fluent Forms on your site and send them to your Insightly account. You don't need to buy Fluent Forms Single Site (Pro) plan.

Can I get a refund?

The trial fee is refunded automatically if a build fails. A purchased plugin can be refunded within 14 days if it doesn't do what the approved plan said and Ora can't fix it, as long as it hasn't been downloaded or installed.
