How to set up Everest Forms to Salesflare

Here is the whole setup for connecting Everest Forms to Salesflare, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in Salesflare and in Everest Forms.

1. Create an API key

In Salesflare open Settings, API keys and create a key. Use an account that can create contacts and accounts, since the new records are owned by it.

2. Find your Everest Forms fields

Open the form in Everest Forms, click a field and check its Advanced Options for the Meta Key, which identifies the field. Name fields are split into first and last.

3. Map contact, account and custom fields

Salesflare links a contact to an account (company). Tell Ora which form fields give the contact name and email, which give the company, and any custom fields you created in Salesflare first.

4. Describe it to Ora

5. Test on the practice site

Submit a test entry and look for it under Everest Forms, Entries. Open Contacts in Salesflare and search for the test email. Check the company link and any custom fields.

Common snags:

Salesflare can match a contact to a company by its email domain, which may attach someone to the wrong account for free mail addresses.
Custom fields must exist before you map them.
An API key has the same access as its user, so create it from a service user if you can.
