How to set up WPForms to HubSpot

Here is the whole setup for connecting WPForms to HubSpot, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in HubSpot and in WPForms.

1. Create a private app in HubSpot
In HubSpot open Settings, Integrations, Private Apps and create an app for your site. Give it the crm.objects.contacts.read and crm.objects.contacts.write scopes, then copy the access token (it starts with pat-). The plugin keeps the token in your own WordPress settings.
2. Find your WPForms fields
Each WPForms field has a numeric ID, shown in the field options and in the smart tag list. The Name field has separate First and Last parts, so tell Ora which one goes where.
3. Match fields by internal name
HubSpot matches properties by internal name, not the label you see. First name is firstname, last name is lastname, phone is phone and company is company. Open Settings, Properties and click a property to read its internal name.
4. Describe it to Ora

5. Test on the practice site
Submit a test entry. WPForms Lite does not keep entries, so watch HubSpot directly if you use the free version. Open Contacts in HubSpot and search for the test email. The contact should show the submitted values, and a second submission with the same email should update it instead of creating a copy.

Is there a free WPForms to HubSpot plugin?

It matches on email. If a contact with that email exists, the plugin updates it instead of adding a second one.

Do I need WPForms and a HubSpot account?

Yes. This plugin is built to take submissions from WPForms and send them to your HubSpot account. You don't need to buy the WPForms Elite plan.

Can I get a refund?
