How to set up Gravity Forms to Capsule CRM

Here is the whole setup for connecting Gravity Forms to Capsule CRM, so you know what to have ready before you start. Most of it takes a few minutes in Capsule CRM and in Gravity Forms.

1. Create a personal access token
In Capsule open My preferences, API authentication tokens and generate a token. It acts as you, so the new records are created in your name.
2. Find your Gravity Forms fields
Gravity Forms identifies fields by number: field 1, field 2 and so on. Composite fields such as Name use decimals, so first name is usually 1.3 and last name 1.6. Ora needs these numbers to map correctly.
3. Map parties, opportunities and tags
Capsule calls people and companies parties. Tell Ora which form fields give the person and the organisation, and whether each enquiry should also open an opportunity at a chosen milestone. Custom fields are referred to by definition.
4. Describe it to Ora

5. Test on the practice site
Submit a test entry and look for it under Forms, Entries in Gravity Forms. Open Contacts in Capsule and search for the test email. Check the tags and any opportunity at its milestone.
